About Lapta

Lapta (Lapithos) spreads from an old spring-fed mountainside settlement down to a relaxed waterfront strip west of Kyrenia. It is quieter and lower-density than the town, with a long coastal walkway, pebbly coves and a well-established expatriate community, plus the ancient Lambousa ruins on the shore to the north. For buyers, Lapta is a value-oriented west-coast market: the average property price is cited around £116,000, apartments run roughly £80,000–£300,000 (brand-new two-beds from ~£130,000 + VAT), and villas range from about £160,000 to £1,350,000. It is ~13 km (15–20 minutes) west of Kyrenia and about an hour from Ercan Airport. Lapta-specific rental yields are not separately published. Every foreign purchase requires Permission to Purchase and title-deed due diligence.
